Want to get more life out of your equipment? Want to increase your pumps efficiencies?
In the early 1980’s a local municipality contacted us looking for an option to replacing their aging equipment. They had a $2,500,000 capital replacement budget and didn’t want to dip into it for this type of project. After experimenting with a multitude of compounds they settled on Belzona 1341 (Supermetalglide). At that time, they weren’t interested in the energy efficiency increases, they were interested in salvaging their component equipment. They also had 4 year maintenance cycles on their pumps at that time.
30 years later they’ve kept all their original pumps operating at peak performance. Their then worn equipment was rebuilt with Belzona 1311 (Ceramic R-Metal), one coat of Belzona 1321 (Ceramic S-Metal) and topcoated with 2 coats of Belzona 1341 (Supermetalglide) for longetivity. They moved their maintenance cycles out to 8 years and just recently out to 12 years. As this muncipilaty expands their operations, they follow this same process on each and every pump in their multi-county system.
Their capital replacement budget? After 10 years of success with the Belzona product line they put that money back in the general fund.
With all these rebates offered by the local utilities we want to remind you that coating your pumps with Belzona is a process where you can get money back from your utility for increases in efficiencies.
